I know this is a naive question but if some is constantly going on that they are in Anonymous and "doing it for the lulz" it probably means they are a sad c**t who needs to get a grip. As far as I was aware you don't join Anonymous
if they're telling you then they aren't anonymous, are they?

So I reckon you're probably on the money with what you think of them.

I remember I was in line for a gig outside the old Astoria years ago and bunch of "Anonymous" wearing the V masks came and started chanting "down with Scientology" or something so I asked what's so wrong with it and none of them actually knew so I asked why don't you change your cause to "down with dickless teenagers who protest for the sake of protesting" only for them to scamper off without a reply.

"We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us"

Yeah if your actually involved enough to be able to start a campaign against someone/something (Though really due to the nature anyone can :P) then your going go around boasting about that fact, considering of the hacking they've done over the last few years :P. All the facebook groups and that are really just off shoots from a bit of an internet legend really with people thinking they are super cool.

The internet legend is really just some fans who took for V for Vendetta way to seriously. (But a good idea in practice, the "people" rising up together as one entity.)

I like the fact that we can ALL be in anonymous if we like, the authorities dont know one masked tit from another, and the more barriers to a police state the better imho....

except the latest police state idea is to make hiding your face a criminal act in itself in certain circumstances.

Ain't life grand? ;)

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
