Me and 4 mates have just bought our tickets - so excited! We were going whatever the lineup as we're turning it into a mini european road trip (from Essex to Benicassim) over 2 weeks..

Few questions that hopefully someone can answer.

1. Have read about parking on the website - it says first come, first served - where do we go if we're too late and that car park is full?

2. It says about lockers and mobile phone charging - are there chargers in the lockers and what is the charge for a locker?

3. Does anything at all happen on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday?

4. How long does it take from the festival to the campsite, and from the campsite to the beach?

and finally..

5. Is beer really as cheap as people are saying? Seen people saying 4 euros for a litre of vodka and another saying 6 euros for 24 beers.. he said they were warm but hey.. that's cheap! :)

I was thinking of getting a ticket for this. Some Q's...

I went to Optimus Alive last year (circumstances mean I went on my own, probably the same for this if I go... I did love Optimus Alive though, Roses, Radiohead, etc)...

1.- Anyhow, I found Optimus very "safe", quite family orientated really, didn't feel like a druggie/drunkie uk festival (I had seen some sites at The Roses in Heaton Pk a few weeks before)..., I get the feeling Benicassim is a bit wilder ?

2.- Any recommendations for cheap accommodation (ie hostels even), as I really don't fancy camping in heat (40 year old now)... I have looked previously, but the local hotels seem pricy for singles. Would it be okay to get night buses trains etc to further away places

3.- mosquitoes, I hate them, shared a room with one one night in Ibiza... but they seem to like me, it might be a dumb question but are they a factor over there ? Do sprays etc work when you are outside by the sea so much ?

i've been to FIB a few times since 2003 (this was my first one). concerning hotels: they really are expensive in Beni since there aren't that many. you can have cheaper hotels in Castellon, but it is always difficult to get back in the night (i remember waiting more than 1-2 hours for a taxi in the night) and you can't rely on the buses. when on your own, waiting 1-2 hours in the night for a taxi, this is even more difficult i think.

sleeping in a tent was no option for us. if that is the same for you, then i would suggest: taking an expensive hotel in Beni (intur orange etc) or going to another festival in spain (primavera)

I am thinking of booking flights to Barcelona as they are the cheapest I can find going from Newcastle, can anyone reccomend a good way (the cheapest) of transport that I can get to and from the airport on? Is the train station close to the airport or should I be looking for a coach?

I notice the fibshop do a rent a tent scheme but it currently says 'coming soon', anyone got any information as to what has happened in previous years?

Cheers! I think I'm going to go with eufest, it is slightly cheaper and looks very convenient. Now I'm just hoping for some good line up additions. I'd be over the moon with the Arctic Monkeys and KoL as suggested in an earlier post. I've already booked tickets for KoL UK arena tour on the 10th of July in Birmingham so I would rather the Arctic Monkeys play. A few others I'd like to see are Two Door Cinema Club, Black Keys, Reverend and The Makers, Mona and Madness. Think the current line up is looking bare if you compare it to the BBK festival so hopefully they have a few done deals that will be announced early next year.

Do people think it will sell out this year? BBK has a lot more acts announced at this stage and cheaper tickets which worries me a little.

I went beni this year, it was the sickest week ever! Amazing weather, beach everyday, drinking till daft o'clock, no hangovers, friendly people. 3 of us went and we got to know about 20 people really well and are still mates! Such a good atmosphere and never have I ever not wanted to get out of a freezing cold shower before! Heaven! 1 billion % recommend it.

Alt J, The Hives, Biffy Clyro and Fatboy Slim have been announced today for Bilbao BBK - what are the chances of them being at Benicassim? Would love to see them all! Slightly gutted that I'm not going BBK now (would love to see Kings of Leon and Green Day again!)
