Yes I was going to mention this. I assume he lobbies for this and has joined other parties and groups which strive for this.

can I just add, that in one of the videos we see footage of peter at home typing on his pc. And you know what, he doesnt have a rickety chair like us proletariats, he has a LEATHER ARM CHAIR for a computer chair! Yes, a comfy sofa-type chair.

As far as I'm aware Nelson Mandela was employed for long periods of time when he was fighting his cause, as a lawyer. Politicians get a mandate of the local population, and are essentially employed as an MP. What Dow is doing is unilaterally deciding that the taxpayer should fund his rantings on the internet. If I went up to a seven random people a week and demanded they gave me £20 each to sit around, I'll get slapped. This thread is in part the equivalent of that slap.

Well I don't mind a mild slap from you guys. I wouldn't want to get on Condi's wrong side though. Not like that guy Assange has managed to do.

After Condi is finished with him, Assange won't be typing much with his broken fingers and the next time he leaks he will be urinating blood from his bleeding kidneys.

Oh I am not really for beatings or torture. The above photoshop is satirical rather a serious suggestion for Condi to start swinging her golf club at people instead of golf balls.

I have written quite a bit of advice for Assange if he or his lawyers are listening. Not that I am any good at keeping myself out of prison never mind anyone else so maybe my advice is not worth much. Anyway here is a link to a topic in my forum if anyone wants to read it.

Condi whips WikiLeaks and dominates Julian Assange. (For Freedom Forums)

I don't see how you can defend somebody doing something wrong by telling us that other people are doing wrong. Seems to me that there are so many people with their hand out, on the take, at all both ends of the wealth spectrum, and it's the chumps in the middle who take the hit for everyone else.

Maybe I'm just sick of seeing a more than a grand's worth of money go out the window each month in tax when I work a sixty hour work week - because if I don't I'll get fired - and after you shove in a three hour commute each day I'm utterly frazzled and having got any time anymore for anything, especially apologists for what appears to be a dilusional work-shy idiot who thinks far too much of himself.

But most of his views are well know and as he alludes to are in practice already so we don't need hindsight for that. As for the Scottish issue these are well know to. and which way it all goes waits to be seen (although I reckon they will have to join the EU so less independant maybe in the long run)

What we can see in hindsight is that him pissing and moaning on an internet site has not added to science as he feels he would have. FACT

I guess i'm talking about him trying to change things so that he can go to a convient uni and how the world seems to owe him because he wasn't quite good enough (obviously I don't know the full detail).

If I knew that Peter was ill - say because I was his CPN - then it would ne entirely inappropriate for me to say anything in public.

Dow sees the legal system as "Queen's justice", and so unlawful from democratic principles - and there's no logic that can knock that idea down. So he's of course not going to accept any judgement by that "Queen's justice" is he?

he even argues with people who are sympathetic to his cause. It does appear that he enjoys his condition of isolation, and ultimately encourages it

Well democrats and republicans need to sharpen up our game if we are to defeat the royalists and as an experienced campaigner I have some advanced arguments to teach.

Suppose a martial arts beginner meets a black belt expert.

Would the black belt be doing the beginner any favours by letting the beginner win the sparring fights they had? No, the beginner learns more if he takes a few falls at the hands of the master.

he's got a lot emotionally invested in it all tho. He can't change his mind on it without having to admit that he's been wasteful of his own life.

Last night on TV I saw an ex-squaddie interviewed, who'd lost a leg in Iraq or Afghanistan, and is soon going to lose the other due to some complication. He was saying that the war was worth it - but he would do, wouldn't he? He's not going to admit to himself that it wasn't, because then he also has to admit that his horrific injuries have been for no reason.

No one is going to tell that soldier that he's suffering mental illness.

Oh, and whilst I'm here. Why is your politics so retarded? I speak as someone who has a BA in Politics, an MA in Politics and work as a teacher in... erm... Politics. No one ever failed any of my degrees (plural). Why exactly are you on welfare when you've got such 'superior genes' and the fact that you are so 'highly educated?

Alternatively Peters paper could be revolutionairy and the authorities and CIA are trying to hush him up. At this very moment he is being chased by dark suited men in fast cars while he avoids them on his raleigh copper. I've seen these types of things in the movies so they must be true
