gazza_20
But SOundgarden is not a headliner at RaR . So why would they be headliners at Downlaod?
Kuki
Nope Headliners are: Metallica, Linkin Park and Die Toten Hosen, big German band, 30th anniversary next year . My theory about LP: they will be headliners at Sonis UK and few other SOnis. They played last year at Sonis Italy, so they might have deal with Sonis about co-operating next few years, just like Iron Maiden and Metallica Skrillex for the second stage? I don't know... luckysalt
regarding things from above Trivium have said they're playing Metallica day Soundgarden cant tour during mid summer as Pearl Jam are, they have the same drummer, he can't be in two places at once doing two simitanious tours I think Linkin Park will be at Reading, apparently Soni have three headliners, that haven't headlined there before

gazza_20
I agree about Linkin Park, would be too soon to play Soni after only headlining Download 6 months ago. How do you know about the 3 headliners never to have played Soni before?
luckysalt
Its not concrete, just something I was told by someone who has a source. They're a member on here if they want to talk more about it they can. Regarding Linkin being too soon for Soni after Download, well Metallica are playing Download after Soni. Plus Linkin Park have a new album coming out

mrtourette
No, it's the line-up when they split. Not sure what's so original about it. Edited December 19, 2011 by mrtourette

gazza_20
Yeah, that's the way I see it going as well, which would be fucking awesome! Evanescence/Nightwish/Wolfmother/Rise Against to fill the Friday sub slot and 2nd stage Saturday and Sunday headline slots I reckon. Just not sure which will be where. luckysalt
Id be fucked off with Rise Against headlining against Sabbath, I wanna see both
mrtourette
Soundgarden subbing a legendary band like Sabbath does sort of make sense, although I'd have thought that if you had Soundgarden and Prodigy on the bill it would be Soundgarden headlining out of the two of them. biffoire
I can see the support acts for metallica and Sabbath being good.

Kuki
maybe because everyone know SOundgarden from BadMotorfinger and Superunknown, which were recorded in this "original" line-up
Chavmeisterdeluxe
Who's going to replace Ben Shepard on Goals on Sunday when he's touring with Soundgarden then?
luckysalt
Looks like Soundgarden are out as Copping tweeted in a question about them subbing at Download like they are at Rock AM Ring ''They're bigger than a sub in the UK''
Kuki
So maybe 2nd headline, against Prodigy ? EDIT: Wait a minute. They are too big to sub, so they won't play before Metallica... and if they play before Linkin Park or Die Toten Hosen at RaR ? I think Soundgarden are really big band in Germany(same league as Pear Jam). So maybe just a smokescreen?
