All joking aside i heard a few good reports about the houseparty tent after i came back last year, almost typically its a tent i never ventured in to, expecting it to be a sort of 2nd dance tent. Anyone like to comment on what it was like ?

must do more variety of stages this year, which may be hard at times because the main stage line up looks really strong on sat an sun

I thought it was mostly dj's in house party except for the odd set. I remember lots of sofa cushions in the air and several teenagers fast asleep in the beds at the back later on:) I fell in a hole in front if the dj and nearly DIED.

Some of the lesser known bands I reckon might be worth checking out after listening to some of their stuff on the Kendal website...

Spring Offensive

Random Impulse

Hyde and Beast

Jake Evans

Max Raptor

Dirty North

Ryan Keen

And if anybody is interested you can download loads of 'Our Fold' stuff from their Facebook page for a limited period. Well worth a listen

There are loads of bargains out there at the moment - this rather British weather is playing havoc with camping sales & retailers are offering all sorts of deals.

Not sure exactly where you are (I know somewhere in the midlands), but Go Outdoors are an extremely good retailer (they have 3 stores in the midlands - Birmingham, Wolverhampton & Coventry) and are always doing deals (have a look at www.gooutdoors.co.uk).

Peace and harmony restored, i knew the threat of jeremy kyle would do the trick !

im gonna air my tent out later in the week and make sure it hasnt been eaten by moths or rotted away, got several to choose from but the vango 5 man seems ideal for the job, i've got a decent outwell one as well that comes with a sunroof and fitted carpet. It may be a bit posh for a festival tho !

    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

    • Liddle: "Drop a small nuclear bomb on Glastonbury to immediately remove from our country almost everybody who is hugely annoying.”   Farage: Free speech!    Polanski: accepts a collaboration on 20 innocuous looking set of photos on instagram but doesn't notice that one that says 'making plans for Nigel' with a guillotine image.   Farage: I expect the MET police to arrest him.
    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
