Wow! Was it something I said?

Welcome back to the forum eh?

I asked if anyone else was a little pissed off, not totally pissed off ;o)

Look....I've been to many festivals over the years. This will be my 4th KC. Being able to park next to my tent has been a huge advantage in taking my young daughter.

Not parking next to my tent will not ruin my enjoyment of the festival, it will be a minor inconvenience, no more than that!!!

Your aiming your rant about leaving the place as a shit hole at the wrong person I'm afraid....you need to look elsewhere!

Ha ha , don't stress on parking your car from what I have seen , it will be your own car park next to your own field , minute walk .

No ranting really just in a bit of a mood after finding out the gig of a life time I have been waiting for since last October has bloody professor green on the line up. Gutted

Morning all,

As a newbie at KC, I am seeking advice as usual...

I have an early entry ticket so what time do the gates open Thursday?

Also how long is the longest walk to the arena? Am I right in thinking that the site is all fairly intricate?

Thanks in Advance (Apologies for my lack of knowledge)

you could get in from noon last year as far as i remember, longest walk from the fields was about 5 mins last year, most places you were right next to it and the walking was round to the arena enterances.

site was quite small and compact last year, plenty packed in to it though

Lakeland

I assume you're talking about Stone Roses?

I've got tickets for Friday and Saturday and happy with the line-up for both those days. I'd be as gutted as you if I had Saturday...Pro Green not for me and Beady Eye were shite at the Apollo last year.

Ramragon

I was concerned about Wickerman being just 2 days, but with it being the weekend before KC I've book the week off and stay in the lakes.

I also get the impression that Wickerman is a much later night than KC so 2 nights will probably be enough...haha

Got tickets for Sunday for the Roses. Plan B ?? a bit bizarre but something different I suppose. The Wailers is an interesting booking.....wonder if they will turn up at any festivals in the summer. Think they are playing all 3 Roses nights. Saw Craig Charles in Preston at the weekend. Great set and would be a great addition to any fest this summer.

Jimmy Cliff for Kendal !!!!????

I dont want to keep claiming I know things, because Im literally just getting info of my friend but he's now saying ''The Enemy'' are going to playing Kendal.

Loved there first album but everything since has let me down big time.

Thoughts?

Guy not heard anything from for ages used to be in the Stands - Howard Elliott Payne, not sure where he is these days but i'd like that also if Steve Kendal is reading this

Bingley is a great line-up! I was considering it but not sure about the camping arrangements with them being off site....it doesn't seem secure somehow

    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
