Can I suggest you put aside one of your bottles and leave it like 8 weeks or so and see what it is like. And see how much the flavour improves. Will give you a good guide on how long you should be waiting. You might taste it and think its fine, but when you taste it much later it will probably encourage you to wait longer.

Am not going to be trying it till about 4 weeks from bottling so even if I keep 4 bottles and taste test them every fortnight that will take me up to week 12... though I know what am like too haha

Well a month later...

1st batch still got 16 bottles left, had one last week and it was bloody lovely.

I also made a 2nd batch of cider, which I bottled yesterday and got more stuff today to make some other stuff.

went back to another and found this ..took it to glasto last year and its GOOD

couldnt be bothered to re write so here it is...

we make a turbo juice which only takes 7/12 days to make and is great .i did have a thread about it last year but cant find it but so heres the recipe .

this is for 5 litres

you get 4 litres of fruit juice not drink must be pure juice

1 pound of sugar

tiny bit of yeast

demijohn of 5l water bottle with balloon on top

so you pour 3 litres of your chosen juice.

[one of these should really be apple or grape to work best although you can mix and match any JUICES you like]

add the sugar and yeast .

then you leave this to bubble madly for a couple of days then add the last litre of JUICE and top with water.

you can add a little more sugar to taste ect at this point then you leave for a 6/7 days stabilise it and then drink it lol

heres the site that we found may be better but if you experiment you may find a different flavour of your own.

good luck all

Hi All!

I've been kit brewing for about 4 years now. Today I transferred my first Pear Cider to its second FV.

Wilco £14. Thats 35p a pint!

Up to now I've done all sorts of ales and bitters with varying successes.

I did a dry mash once. It cost loads, took ages and failed.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
