Just started listening to it. Sounds ok so far. Very 80s electro pop. Blue Cassette and Hawaiian something are sounding good. It'll probably grow on me, first album did.

This is the problem I have-Friendly Fires, Noah and The Whale or P. Nutini? Swinging towards Friendly Fires though because I have never see them at a festival before and hear they put on a great show. Also want to see lead singers 'funky' dance moves in the flesh

We saw them at a secret gig in St.Albans the other week. in The Horn. Great gig and some great tracks. Defo worth going along to, will be a good set.

Friendly Fires definitely! People on the R+L forum have said they won't come across well on a main/outdoor stage but I saw them at Wireless last summer with a crowd who couldn't give a toss (most were there to see Jay-Z) & they threw everything behind the performance. Brought on salsa/belly dancers & were really tight. Shame none of it got recorded.

Only on sale at HMV St.Albans and sold out pretty quickly. The announcement was only made the night before they went on sale on their mailing list.

Listened to the whole album several times now and I think it is amazingly good-even better than their last album. There isn't a bad or lukeewarm track on it which is rare for an album. A great mix of upbeat ones and slow, moving ones. Also noticed there is going to be a Friendly Fires DJ set on Saturday-wonder what that would be like??

This was just a gig announced late.

Secret gigs do not sell tickets in HMV.

None of the tracks I'm liking at all. Just all very meh.

Disappointing. I've given it a fair few tries aswell, but just get bored every time I listen to it

My favourite songs on the first album were In The Hospital, On Board, Lovesick.

I listened to the first album loads and loved it.

I've given the new one about 4 listens so far, with none of the tracks standing out Usually in this position I'd expect possibly only to like a few tracks immediately with others to grow, but just really not feeling this album.

you're mental! i dont get how anyone who was into the first record wouldnt like this one. its not 100% immediate but after 4 listens most fans will love it as much as the first album i think. if not more so.

paris is nowhere near their best song!!!

Just listening now and noticed that I had not listened to True Love and the other tracks as much as the front end of the album. I've obviously been turning it off after getting bored.

I quite like that track in fairness though.

Gone back and not feeling Blue Cassette at all, Hawaiian Air is alright, but not loving it. Think those are the big tracks that most like aswell from the reviews

I'll persist, but think I might go watch Aloe Blacc (who just got into) or possibly the Special Guests on the Park now. I reckon could go catch the beginning and see how it's working out and then make a decision.
