Rumours of a "one off" show somewhere, to put a full stop on Pink Floyd. Mason and Waters are well keen, as already reported. Gilmour (apparently) open to the idea.

These pics would've been unimaginable 5 years ago.

The shit eating grin on Waters!

Adding to the Waters link, stating that he doesn't want to play with Floyd anymore, I don't think they'd want to do it without Rick.

I'm sure, also, that I read sometime last year that Wright wanted to play Glastonbury as his alst gig when he was ill, hence Gilmour asking Eavis about the possibility of replacing Jay Z. Eavis declined and Gilmour wasn't happy that he denied his mate his "last wish" of sorts.

This could be b*llocks of course, but I personally don't think you'll ever see Gilmour, let alone Floyd, at Glastonbury.

It would make my life if they did though.

Seriously though if they did a show or tour and I didn't get tickets I couldn't tell you what I'd do, I honestly think I'd kill for one. Actual murder. I'd get into grands of debt, I'd rob old ladys, anything. If I didnt get one I would be so depressed, I'd probably not leave my room or house for months. I wouldn't talk to people. No need to worry though, because it most certainly won't happen :(

When Led Zep did their O2 gig, I tried everything to get a ticket short of paying the £400-£500 touts were charging for one. I thought 'well, having gone to the effort of rehearsing for weeks, they won't stop here, they're bound to tour.' Now it's obvious that was their last ever gig. And I should have begged, borrowed and stolen to pay the asking price.

Later that week, I answered the phone to a mate's wife who said (very casually, late in the conversation) 'you'll never guess where I was on Monday night: the O2 watching Led Zep. Steve got tickets off his bank manager.' I say mate - ex-mate now. Not only did he ask his wife (who was more interested in telling me all the famous people she saw in the other boxes) instead of me, he never even mentioned he was going, despite knowing I was a big Zep fan, a bigger fan of live music than any of his other mates, and despite the fact that I'm forever getting him tickets for gigs, footy and cricket matches.

Bitter? Moi? :O

Nick Mason: "I live in hope. Someone might be a sufficient influence to convince Roger or David. I'm ready — my bags are packed. It's to do with Roger wanting complete independence and David not wanting to be told what to do."

C'mon Waters and Gilmour. Get it together lads!

Apparently even at Live 8 he was difficult. They had an argument about “expanding” the songs. The rest of the band just wanted to play them as they were. I think Roger wanted to go all space rock on a few tunes. They had arguments about the setlists too and the way the songs should be played. Waters and Gilmour had being playing them different on their solo tours and neither wanted to compromise.

They seem to get on great now though. In fairness, if someone had told me even a year ago that Gilmour would join Roger on stage for a Roger solo show I wouldn’t have believed them. A very far fetched idea even a year ago.
