Big mistake

Just checked bank account and no refund as yet,i am sure it should have been in by now....Checking online i still have a ticket against my ref number. I think i will leave it alone for now and hope they did cancel my request / mistake for a refund. If they did then all is ok,or maybe something has gone wrong with the refund request,either way i am very . ....Looking forward to spending some time with friends and family for a few days in a field in Somerset along with 140,000 others...

There's another thread where Denwyn said he may cancel his ticket. Cue lots of "come on just go" type of posts and a few negative ones.

Feel for him after reading this but also had to laugh at someone saying "you again!"

I agree that if you've been telling them you may cancel at least one person should have broken rank and said they were going, just to get you to go!

If it gets cancelled just deny everything. Indignantly ask why the hell would you cancel your ticket? Tell them to check back through your ticket buying history - you havent missed a glastonbury in years! So why would you miss the one where the biggest band on the planet - U2! - are playing (of course you must exaggerate hugely here but you get the point).

Just blag it, insist it's their mistake. Job done. Just do not come across as the meek mild idiot who cancelled his ticket cos he was too scared to go alone.

i'll be cancelling my ticket this week. it's just not the right year for me to go, too many personal issues. it hurts to cancel still, so i'm sort of procrastinating. anyway, i'll give a heads up on here before i do it, so if all else fails you might grab it.

It wasn't just one thread. I think there may have been 2 or 3 plus several very similar posts in other threads. I'll hold my hands up and say that I was one of the negative posters. Whilst I understood his dilema I didn't understand his continued need to bang on about how he MIGHT cancel his ticket because he didn't like a few bands. To a misrrable bastard like me it all got very boring.

I do feel for you now though but could this topic have been added to one of your other threads rather than creating a whole new one? Or am I still being a miserable git?
