Is NME finalised?

So far, (at reading) there are 11 bands on the friday, meaning the timetable based on previous years is full, but yet there are only 10 bands on saturday and sunday, seemingly space to add one more band on each day. However, does anyone else reckon its finalised? I think Janes addiction will get a longer set (possibly 1 hour 15) and the extra 15 minutes can be shared out down the timetable, and on sunday both the streets and 2manydj's get an hour (as theyre co-headlining, and the extra time also filted out down the day.

I cant imagine them announcing two other bands for nme now, why wouldnt they have just announced them with the most recent announcement?

Also, Glassjaw have been announced as special guests on the Saturday, and since their actual logo is on the lineup poster despite them only being fourth from top could mean they might get a longer set than say a band like the Vaccines or Panic! At the disco who are playing in the same position on different days?

I'd say theres only one more band to be added on the "Beady eye" day, I would have said it would be the cribs, but it says that Beady Eye are defiantly headlining and surely the cribs would headline over Beady Eye?

Main Stage is complete, with 9 bands on each day! Last year was 10 but i think they are doing this for 3 reasons.

1. Save Money

2. Longer Sets

3. To give themselves bigger stage productions. More time to set it up!

NME stage needs 2-4 bands added for each day. Last year they had 11 bands on, but at the moment only have 7. So 10 looks like the number they will set for this year, same reasons main stage above!

.

Its looks to me that they will lower each stage by one band per day. Giving the crew 5 mins longer between sets and posibily the bands 10mins extra here or there which is 2-3 songs! I remember Paramore last year however starting 10mins late and ending very quickly!

My Bad! Just relaised that the bands annouced this week were for the NME Radio one stage nut i had it in my head it was the Lock Up headliners!

Sorry Sorry, so that make sence that 3 bands have been added to the NME stage on each day making it 10/11!

Pulled Apart by Horses are epic... great additions!

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
