Ruled out of headlining? Only by common sense. I don't think there's anything that rules them out of playing generally other than whether Billy Corgan's ego would accept a low slot.

Didnt Black Keys play some arena dates before ally pally too? Obviously Florence is still way larger, that'd be a silly argument on my part. She's either a large Bestival headliner, so a small Reading one IMO.

How I see it is most of the big european festivals have been announced with no soad, green day etc etc. Would they come over to do one uk festival and miss out europe? No.

So its best to look at bands who are doing the circuit like bloc party, florence and have pearl jam been ruled out? Doing euro fests but no uk date yet.

Alex Turner is a confusing bloke, listening to him say this he kind of mumbles it, wouldn't say it rules them out completely although, i'd guess they might be on to play Glasto 2013 or even R+L 2013. Probs a year off this year.

I'd be prepared to have a repeat that soon if it was Radiohead on a UK exclusive, but think the earliest repeat that could happen would be 2008, although 2 of those are already ruled out.
