Saw Brand New in cardiff last night. Amazing as always and they even gave away a guitar and floor tom midway though You Won't Know to people in the crowd! You don't see that often. Would be amazing subbing or even headlining the NME tent.

Also The Xcerts. Massive fan of theirs and thought they were excellent last night as well. Could see them playing FR somewhere or even opening NME. Fingers crossed anyway.

aye i've been twice and i have to admit i had a great time because i was 16/17 but it's just such a poor festival compared to leeds, they don't even let you have fires of any sort or any entertainment after 2 oclock. but my mates have none of it even though they've only ever been wakestock haha

Surely they're bigger than NME headliners, The Maccabees are headlining NME this year so and i'm more than certain Franz are quite a bit bigger than them! 3rd or sub I'd say, NME headliner would be awesome though!

They havent toured for like 2 years and they are headlining Field Day festival in June so its a good possibility i think

Franz aren't anywhere near the size of bands like Faith No More, Manic Street Preachers etc. So I don't see why they couldn't play NME. Plus Field Day was headlined by The Horrors last year, the FR tent headliners.

Franz are no where near as big as they used to be. Personally I think theyd be an awesome NME headliner. But if I had to guess I'd say third on main stage. Neil says thats where he expects Kaisers to be, and I cant see Franz are any bigger than them?

I love all these bands popping up who have previously headlined Reading, and now could barely headline NME. Reading really need to learn from mistakes and stop jumping the gun on their headliners *coughMCRcough*

as for Razorlight... 4th main? NME?
