Due to the olympics glastonbury has CALLED OFF there festival as the policing and portaloos will cost too much!!

What does this mean for R+L.

Only bad news I guess, will they follow suit and call the fest off for a year?

I reckon so.

If they do it is a total joke by Melvin Bennend (haha get it).

We pay good money and i don't care about portaloos tbh.

Glastonbury always takes a year off now and then. It was due to be this year, but they changed it to the Olympics year to save themselves a little hassle (and for other reasons too).

Reading and Leeds have alrewady said they'll be going ahead, so as ever you're completely off the mark.

And if you use the efests logo again in your profile to try and present yourself as having some sort of official role here you'll be banned.

Firstly I wasns't "off the mark" as I want claiming anything I was just speculating. I think some festivals will take year off.

2ndly the representing was clear banter. "Part time CEO, oh come on" but I get your point 100%, I will take that as a warning, but whats wrong with using the logo, I use it as it looks fun and funky? Could you just glarify the logo point up, otherwise I understand, I mean, was it because Iw as using it in conjunction with my sig, or just cos I was using it?

You have no affiliation with this site, so don't try and present yourself as tho you have some official role here.

As usual a semi-reasonable topic for discussion ruined by being presented by an absolute spaz. Perhaps something like this:

I know Glastonbury takes a year off now and again and I read that one of the reasons they chose next year is becuase of the inflated cost of policing and portaloos due to the Olympics.

If this is true how will it affect R&L? Will the increased overheads mean increased ticket prices, or less money spent on bands? Or will we get better bands due to the pool being bigger as there's no Glastonbury?

      So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.

      I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
