Pendulum's Rob Swire has self confirmed on twitter they're playing Download next year when asked about it.

When asked about it AC has said ''News to me...more speculation...ho hum''

which pretty much confirms it with the ho hum comment.

Not a shock anyway we all knew they would be playing.

i actually wouldnt be suprised if he's booked them as the 3rd headliner tbh........well they're bigger than Biffy Clyro id say. 2nd stage headliner or sub on main more realistic tho

Well last time they were 3rd on main which I thought was too high at the time, and last year subbing on main at Soni I thought was too high as well, especially after the huge build up the 'special guests' were getting

Second stage headliner is perfect for them I think

I wonder if AC has booked that for Download? Stands a fair chance, Prodigy played that slot at Reading so I don't want to hear any of the nonsense from AC that they have to play in the dark, most of the set at Download was in the light anyway, festivals don't get dark until midway through headliner sets on main stage.

Was saying to a friend I reckon'd Fridau (That's the LP day yeah?) That top 3 would be Linkin Park, Pendulum and Dizzee Rascal, almost there now .

Could do second stage too but chances are main imo, they fit too well with the Linkin Park type theme and they can stick some METALZ on the second.

Well, Biffy have been going longer and have more material, not that it matters cus they don't play any of it.

It terms of fanbase and sales theres probably not much in it, but Id edge it to Biffy in terms of sales, but if you asked 100 people on the street probably more would know Pendulum... perhaps.

I cant stand either band tbh. But personally id say Pendulum were slightly bigger. But who knows I could be wrong

the promoters must think biffy are bigger their last 2 albums were both big and the last arena tour was quite big, whereas pendulum are still just a prodigy tribute band

It's only download you can say that for really... It seems to be dark haf way through the second headliners at reading, and glastonbury have a decent curfew, so the headliners don't finish 'till 1230- 1ish.

pendulum? really?? barely constitutes as metal or drum n bass. sounds more like a cheap, cheesy version of a nursery rhyme (with distortion). sick drummer tho.

its defo a case that biffy are bigger but pendulum are defo not just a tribute band, they have remixed one prodigy song. they're dance style is very dfferent.

Dont really see wts the attraction with pendulum, or the prodigy for that matter, but hey, im old skool.

That being said i went to the prodigy at dl 09 having nt experienced a live dance/drum n bass band before, (or many bands not from 70's or 80's :-) ) and its probably the best hour and a half of my teenage years!

Probs give pendulum a miss tho
