If that was in reference to my post from a while ago than yes, most of the Download guys are now pretty sure that it's going to be the Darkness as the sub.

So that means no Soundgarden at Download but based on that article I would say it's not looking great for Reading. It's seems like they are taking it very slow so I'm not sure if they would have been booked already. Maybe they will join in as a late addition, but regardless this is good news. I will probably go to their own gig if they don't get announced for R/L

That's what I thought, but if you open the interview that they got that from it doesn't exactly say that. Something like "The rumour mill's been crazy, I've heard Soundgarden, Tool and The Darkness are playing. I've even heard Rammstein are playing under Def Leppard. That's just not going to happen". Could be just referring to Rammstein I guess.

I've just thought, Matt Cameron is the drummer for soundgarden and peal jam. Aren't Pearl Jam meant to be doing a massive outdoor festival-type thing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album 'Ten'? The release date of this was the 27th of August so if this goes ahead surely Soundgarden won't be able to make R&L? (26th-28th)

Although there aren't many details it will be sometime at the end of this summer. Also many of the Pearl Jam forum guys think it's going to be in Alpine Valley Michigan, although it's not yet confirmed.

You can be sure the bash isn't going to be at R/L as you suggested, but who knows maybe Soundgarden or Pearl Jam will stop in.
