you need to do some research.

whether or not they might enjoy it is of course a different thing from the fact that many are being exploited - and normally by men.

But then again, to put that into perspective it's also true that the majority of people are exploited by their employer, so I'm not entirely sure how well the exploitation angle for porn stands up to fair scrutiny.

as it happens, nowadays I live opposite a large porn studio so see many coming and going. It's hard to tell by appearances of course, but the majority (particularly the regulars) don't strike me as the types who'll be landing a job in the city like your friend did any time soon.

The one bit of vocal evidence I have of their enjoyment or not does seem to support the enjoyment angle tho. I once by chance followed a male/female couple who'd just left the studio down the road; from what I heard the male seemed not to have been involved, and the female was telling him what went on. What sticks in my mind is her saying "... and then he came all over my tits".

I agree with that wholeheartedly, but sadly it seems to rarely be the case that it's a 'job' someone chooses as their ideal job option. The majority seem to be attracted by the money, and would choose to do another job for the same money if one was open to them.

It's also the case that many feel degraded by what they're doing - tho of course there's the more-standard views of society of that sort of work which might have the major part in putting that on to them.

I'm sure there are some that do yes, but on the whole no I don't believe that they do.

With a woman she would have to be incredibly naive or plain stupid to believe that what she is doing is in any way beneficial to women in general and not detrimental. It is all totally for the male 'gaze', dictated by male ideas.

The whole internet porn thing is skewing both male and female ideas of sexuality. I think a lot of Women are increasingly feeling under pressure to either perform this stuff or feel totally inadequate if they don't

Women who work in this industry must be well aware of this and they either don't give a shit (which in my opinion is not good), or they have to justify what they do.

Also if these women were saying 'I hate what I have to do in these films, it degrades all of us' Then you as the watcher may feel some responsibility for that ?
