Listen to Mike Davies show every week, lately he's been dropping hints on bands that will be on the Lock Up. Expect to see these on the bill:

Dropkick Murphys

Social Distortion

The Descendants

Street Dogs

Capdown

Also, The Flatliners announced dates around R/L, pretty obvious they will be there. Really looking forward to them, Cavalcade was probably my favourite album from last year.

He's been giving Iron Chic a fair bit of attention too, guessing they will be playing.

    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
    • But I think the point of that Dan Needle tax thing...we need to put up income tax, for all incomes (and thresholds should be unfrozen).
    • There are no easy answers...more than anything we need growth...and probably main ways of getting that is borrowing more to invest in stuff that makes us super sexy, and/or cut taxes on business and wealth generation which would mean less money to spend on public services and welfare and would obviously be super unpopular and get you chucked out of govt. On top of all that got an aging population, a growing welfare bill, a call for higher spending on defence, housing inequality, higher borrowing costs, and probably a load more sh*t on the way due to the Iran war (although so far it hasn't been that bad?)
