I can speak from personal experience, that you certainly give your local lower-league team more attention when they reach the premiership. But is that just glory hunting?

I couldn't figure out if you were making another link to football leagues and women, but im sure you are just using any chance to bash my glory hunting.

I'm actually not sure... its kinda applicable to both football & women.

Not attempting to have a go at you at all - I've no idea who you support. I live in Blackpool, if that helps put it into context.

No problemo, thought you were eluding to my man utd supporting whilst living in portsmouth tongue.gif I know i have gotten grief in the footy thread from that.

Back to metaphors.

I guess it can kinda be like not caring too much about a girl, then suddenly she drops some weight and gets a new look and suddenly she is premier league class so now its time to "support" her rolleyes.gif

I read it and at 1st it sounded like you were talking about waiting for underage girls to turn 16.

I wasn't specifically about weight - more how you can see a girl all the time, but you don't really notice her until something about her changes, be that looks, attitude, getting rid of that loser Neanderthal bf of hers....

I'm happily not of the school of thought that believes football was invented in 1996 :P

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
