Pulp dilema!

I love Pulp so much and will be devastated if miss seeing them next summer but I can barely afford a Wireless ticket but have no confirmation that they'll play anywhere else!

Do I find the funds for a Wireless ticket or keep my fingers crossed they'll be at Glastonbury?

Reading through the other Pulp thread has given me a bit of confidence but I'm just worried I'll miss out on seeing them!!

I've got the same choice.

I'm holding off buying tickets for Wireless in the hope I don't have to - Hyde Park is massive and a dreadful venue so it should take a while for the show to sell out (depends a bt on what other acts are announced for the day).

Hopefully Glastonbury and/or a tour of proper venues will happen, if not I'll pick up a Wireless ticket nearer the time.

I think a lot of people are, while I don't doubt they will do other shows, this could be there only London date =p and then if they don't do the big G i probs won't get to see them :P.

However the way the website is set up and that, I think a decent size UK tour is forthcoming.

I don't understand the main reason people are saying for not wanting to go to Wireless is the capacity (30k for 3/4 stages) yet they are then hanging on to the hope of them playing Glasto?

If they tour (they will), it's going to be arenas.

As for the cost, I can't imagine them being less then 35 quid, so it's a tenner more but you'll get a full day's music (whether there are any good is another topic).

I agree with you, I'm no big fan out outdoor shows due to generally poor sound, but you can say the same about the pryamid or nearly every outdoor show.

Hyde Park holds alot more than 30k, for KOL it'll be more but with all the different stages and corp nonsense the capacity for wireless was 30k last few years and imagine it'll be the same next.

I love Pulp, but they're not Blur. In my opinion, they will do a full tour, they will do Glastonbury and the tour won't sell out that quickly.

When they released "Hits" in 2002 it was a poor seller, and dropped fairly swiftly out of the chart. Amongst fans they're a big draw, but amongst the wider public they don't have such a profile.

I had the same dilema; and was consdering going to Primavera too.

It's a lot of dosh to splash out to see them twice in just over a week, assuming they play Glasto. However, as you'll see from my sig, I am going to Wireless - getting tickets for Christmas. I'm not complaining, it'll be good. Saw Blur in Hyde Park in 2010, nice setup they had then - just like a proper festival.

If a lot of Wireless tickets are sold, then it will send the message that there is a high demand for the reunion. Therefore, more shows. So buy that ticket, kids. If a better show gets announced, just sell the ticket.

I hope the rest of the lineup is good and it isn't full of suck to placate the chavs whining about how Pulp sucks and is old and Kanye West or the Temper Trap should be headlining again instead.
