I can understand why you might want this fireproof suit, but what are the fins for? The drought that's coming will be so extreme that you'll be able to walk to Fr@nce

Which is worse:

the point were at now when were nearly there but just that little bit too far out for metcheck / accuweather etc to cover the festival

or

when these sites cover the festival period but seem to change from good to bad and back again every time you check them.

I'd advise you to avoid using Metcheck and use Netweather instead, keep an eye on all their forums. This one is informative http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/69698-model-output-discussion/

JACKONE'S Glasto Forecast I'm sure you all know about http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/69427-glastonbury-2011/

Expert charts to be found here for any obsessives :Dhttp://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=euro&MODELL=gfs&MODELLTYP=1&VAR=pslv&HH=24&BASE=-&WMO=&ZOOM=0

Whilst there is obviously still a lot of time for change i'm just so happy that morale within the weather thread has soared again :D

Now let's hope for these runs to continue all the way up to the 21st June!

A friend who studied such things advises thec following:

- Forecasts more than about four days out are meaningless.

- Glastonbury is also situated in between two main weather systems and can change quickly with relatively small shifts.

So what we need to do is:

- make sure everybody takes waterproofs so as not to tempt the rain gods to smite someone with torrential rain

- all sacrifice a bottle of cider to same by pouring over a make shift altar of upturned wellies smeared with sun tan lotion - pre consumtion is optional and probably desirable

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
