Whilst 'door holding open' can be a bother, it can hardly be ascertained that this is happening en masse I should think. Ok so yes maybe there are people who are a little guilty to having pages open and using them for all their mates but tbh, how long does this actually occur for realistically?

Statistically there cant be thousands upon thousands of groups of people actually doing and whilst our reasonable sized military operation of a gang got ourselves organised, there still wasnt at any specific point much 'hogging' of pages going on between a piffling 30 or so of us...maybe just 50, maybe 60 tickets were gained between all of us I reckon? Thats peanuts to the amounts of tickets available.

Also, experiences from the past, door holding open was probably nowhere near as rife as 2007...THAT was ridiculous...collectively, yes a LOT of tickets were gained that year by 'hogging' the open pages but then again I seem to recall there was a juicy glitch that allowed you to go back and start all over again. Its now 4 years later...this year was slow, steady, tough but those that got through...got through. End of.

It slows down exponentially.

If you book at 8:50 (another usual See tickets cock up as it's clearly before 9.00) you'll get your email confirmation within a few minutes. By 9:30 it takes half an hour or so. By 11:00/12:00 it could be later this afternoon or even tomorrow etc.

In no means did i mean to stop people getting tickets, far from what i meant!

the people who were waiting, were in the queue also, but i helped them go, and that makes me feel happy that i may of made their day, so in the end, i'm delighted with what i did, made 20 peoples day and so some missed out, anyone else would do the same, no? :D Either way lets enjoy the build up to Glasto shall we :) 8 months to go!

First time buyer.

I got into the queue about 9:50am had just the two windows open (using Chrome) from the links mentioned on here (one ending PURCHASE and the other DEPOSIT).

Around 10:25am the DEPOSIT link came up trumps and asked me for my details. I duly obliged with my details they required and was only buying the one ticket so from then on it took me probably less than five minutes. Got the on-screen confirmation that everything was rosy (print-screened it and saved it following the advice of someone off here - thanks if your reading!) and knowing the e-Mail confirmation wasn't going out straight away to some, I sat tight waiting for it.

I sat there refreshing my inbox for an hour because some people on here had there e-Mail confirmations within minutes so I couldn't relax until I had mine. No sign of it so I took the dog for walk with my iPod and returned at 12. Had a shower then loaded up the laptop, went straight to my inbox and found that all important e-Mail there waiting for me confirming that i'd secured my first ever Glasto ticket.

Sorry for going into detail but it's my first one and i'm f**king excited.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
