I suppose that apart from the fact that the 3rd headliner is now (almost) booked, the other interesting thing about this news is pretty clear use of the word 'bands' rather than, say, 'artists'.

Mabe I'm reading too much into it but if correct, that would appear to rule out solo contenders that occasionally get mentioned / rumoured such as Madonna, Prince, Dylan, Bowie, Beyonce etc etc ??

Oh God it is all so depressing. Coldplay, U2 and Kylie? Are we really talking about Glastonbury here? Or is this the Glastonbury Townswomen's Guild Christmas party line up? I suppose if I saw Coldplay on the Friday it would put me into such a deep sleep I might with a bit of luck sleep through Kylie and U2. It's alright for you older festival goers but as a sprightly 55 year old I want something a bit more exciting than that for me £200.

Neil, are you able to say where the Jarvis rumour has come from?

can't remember for sure now, but it was very probably from something reported in the press such as him saying "I'll play next year", as it's only there as a rumour.

It's been listed here since the end of June.

We're trying to find the origin of it by searching thru our databases, and if we find it I'll post the full details here.

I think he mentioned being there on his radio show that very weekend, but at the time I took it to mean he'd be presenting his show from there or DJing like he did in the Park area this year. Not sure he has anything planned band-wise since they lost their guitarist but I might be wrong.

    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
