I saw Thom Yorke set up in The Park with my mate, we felt very guilty (other's may have been elsewhwhere who would have really enjoyed it)but it only made us want to sit down and cheer ourselves up with some cheese & pickle sandwiches....I found it dreary, depressing...I don't somehow feel that would be the case with Take That! oh what fun just over 11 month's to go.. :)

Things I don't get-Number 1283 in an ongoing series.

Radiohead-The Bends and OK Computer are OK, but anything after that e.g. Idioteque, National Anthem, 2=2=5, Bodysnatchers, Jigsaw Falling Into Place etc are 'up their own arse' or 'dreary'

For me personally, three of the worst headliners conceivable. But on general size/draw/well-known songs you can't argue with any of them.

I just hope they get some decent John Peel headliners next year and at least one top class dance act on the Other stage.

I think they'd be solid headliners, doubt I'd see any of them though

Don't care in the slightest for Take That, I'd prefer to see excellent musicianship instead of just seeing a stage show which is all it'd be for me

U2 similar situation but may go along cos I like a few tunes

Radiohead I really like but I saw them last year at Leeds and did feel a bit let down with their set list

In a two hour set they only managed to get 3/4 songs I knew and didn't feel like a festival set

I know it may of only of been that show but I'd prefer to see something new

And there in lies the beauty of Glasto. Next year will be my 17th and I've never been to the John Peel/New Bands/whatever they used to call it stage. Never felt the need, or the desire. Lots of very earnest men with their guitars which I find intolerably tedious. But I have the rest of the site to entertain me.

I would be perfectly happy with that lineup if they ensure the other stage has RATM/Pearl Jam/Chemical brothers as an alternative.

I would go to see U2 or Radiohead, I have to confess, but put them head to head with rage or pearl jam and I'd be at an other place :)

Personally, i think they'd all be great and i'd definitely see all 3 no problem. Have to disagree with those who say Radiohead should be Saturday with Take That Sunday. Take That are much more fun and i feel the Saturday night slot should be a joyous occasion. For all Radioheads brilliance, i would prefer them on Sunday when everyone is winding down. Thom Yorke wailing at the moon is a nice way to end the party.
