phone charging at festivals?

I took two phone, my normal one and an old spare. Lasted the whole festival with occasional use, a few texts/short calls per day. Each phone lasted about 3 days, didn't turn off at night.

I used the Chill n Charge but what I didn't realise at first is there are no food or drink outlets once you are in and you have to stay with your phone while it's charging. So be prepared for the stay. Take something to eat and drink and a paper to read and it's then a pleasant chill while you charge.

Or get a Ted baker charger and charge your phone while it's in your pocket, resulting in no wasting of valuable festival time sitting watching the little bars on your phone go up in the tent that you queued 3 hours for.

I took my phone new samsung one, on the Wednesday and used it fairly regularly. Came away on Monday with three out of five bars of battery remaining. I don't know what you people do with your phones that they need charging so much. And who takes an mp3 player?

Buy a few cheap batteries off ebay. You can get them for like £2 each.

bought a portable charger of e bay used aa batteries just charged phone up in my pocket worked fine

I used some crappy charge up ones, one lasted about 8-9 hours

the other lasted 2 minutes, i had to sit through Chill and Charge twice, didn't queue though.

My Ted Baker charger was a godsend this year, thanks to everyone on here recommending it. I gave my phone a wee charge each night and never ran out from Wed-Mon.

I bought a couple of extra baterries of e bay last year for less than the price of a pint, charged them before I went and hey presto.

I walked straight in to Chill n Charge, no queue, whilst the football was on. Gave it 10 minutes which lasted me until the end of Faithless.

I went up the greenfields, left my phone with the solar people, had a wander, all done for £2, and i didnt have my carger and its 2 yrs old, so i was lucky.

I took an old mobile with me,very rarely used it, maybe spent about £2.00 max in texts and a few calls over 5 days. Myself i am glad to get away from the bloody things,can't believe the ammount of people walking around with them glued to there ears. Worst sodding invention ever:rolleyes:....Grrrrrrrrrr
