I've seen the new info about the car parks being open on tuesday here LINK However I've not been able to find any info regarding what time people will be allowed out of the car parks/campervan fields to queue at the gates.

Need to know what time to set my alarm for!!

I can't imagine we'll be allowed to queue very much before 8am. But don't worry, there will still be acres of camping space left even once everyone who's been in the car parks all night is in and set up!

I am sure I have read somewhere that you will not be allowed to leave the car until the gates open at 8 am although who/how they will enforce this I am not sure.

I have a vision of a huge queue of people all lined up along the superfence in the early morning sunshine. It will probably take ages to get in except the wait will be inside the car park instead of queueing outside in the town (which I presume is the whole point)

I think 'in theory' you will not be allowed to queue before 8AM. But this reminds me of previous years when they said - don't arrive at the site or park on the roadside leading to the site before the site open or the Police will move you on. 'Reality' is...you have x 1000 people descending on the site/gates all vying for pole position - there is little the security or police can do except try to ensure the safety of those queueing. Trying to turn away 1000s of people without the aid of tear gas would be nigh on impossible.

I was looking at glasto earth earlier and I don't think it's possible to park a car within nearly 1km of gate C. If you're not allowed out of your car until 8am then nobody will be through the gate until 8.15 (from a car, campervan excluded, gits). As that would be ridiculous I would say 7am would probably be a sensible time for people to start leaving cars to queue at the gate. Fun!

That's asuming you can.

Last year, when I was waiting to get in, the line of people ran over into a road access. It clearly had been anticipated, as there were rows of fence, and people were lined up in "blocks". I would imagine that it would be easy to do here - say, at the edge of the car-park field, have a chain-fence. That would simply mean that the queue would start in the carpark, and mean that it wouldn't be at the main gate.

Who knows?

I think I will bimble down from my Campervan at around 10:00am and get me wristband once the mad rush is over, then have a wander round the site, I have never been on site so early before so will be interested to see the build up.

Focusing on gate C where I can see myself entering, the nearest carpark field nearly a kilometer from the gate - that's one hell of a footrace fully loaded

I'm arriving on foot during the night. I was hoping they would allow us to walk through the car park to wait by the gate.

Last year a few hundred people turned up Tuesday night on foot and were hanging around outside, the police forced the festival to let them in for safety reasons (according to a mate who was stewarding)

    • A win is a win but it was a very poor game with only 4 shots on target in the whole game. Scotland obviously handed a massive bonus with Brazil and Morocco drawing but I don't think either of them will be too worried.
