Obviously neither side was close to full strength yesterday, but we played Spurs off the pitch for most of the game. Another superb performance from Wilshere. In some ways the most impressive thing was that he didn't let himself get provoked by the Spurs hatchet men. He must have been fouled at least 10 times last night but at no point did he look like losing his rag, very promising indeed.

Ian Wright is a terrible pundit.

Cantona - what would he do? Talk about his new film for a bit?

Sheringham and Zola maybe.

I'd turn off anything valuing the opinion of f**k Off Di Canio.

There was a comment in the Mail article about how they should aspire to be Goals On Sunday - no they shouldn't.

Goals On Sunday could possibly the best football programme on TV, buts its not the same thing as MOTD. Goals On Sunday is excellent however, Chris Kamara is a quality host along with the new bloke as he was with Rob Hawthorne. The guests they have is more for a trip down memory lane than for their analysis - Ian Wright and Jermaine Defoe were very good on Sunday.

Mark Lawrenson and the fact that they never show a match not involving the top four/six in the first few are the only things that I don't like about MOTD. Maybe also how they love to show extended highlights of the early or late Premiership kick-offs when many of the people watching will have already seen most of them anyway.

To me motd is a great show if you take out the smug golf buddy presenters. The highlights are great but they add nothing to the program. The lack of tactical knowledge is obvious. Its funny in britian hansen is seen as a tactical genius because he talks about defending. The norm for the motd summarisers is to show a clip and then talk through exactly what is happening, which the viewer can see for themselves. I agree they shouldnt aim for goals on sunday which is sunday morning light entertainment but they should be able to debate the subject about which they should be experts.

    • When do we get stage times through? Also, how close are we to full lineups for the Lorde and Deftones dates?
    • I would assume that Sabrina will be their plan B if Madonna falls through.
