Bolton fans should have fancied their chances more than any other team coming to The Boleyn this season - Saturday was their 7th win on the bounce against us. So should have fancied their chances more than Oxford fans do...

Factor in public transport around the East End being fcuked tonight, making it more difficult than usual to get to the ground - particularly when you think Oxford fans are having to travel 100 miles during rush hour. I think that makes Oxford's support very impressive. Plus the fact that more people work on week days than weekends.

Add the fact that oxford will be bringing 50% of their average home attendance - Bolton couldn't muster 10%. Pretty poor from Bolton IMO.

But talking of Bobby, I read something the other day about the Esso World cup coins for the 1970 world cup... When I was very young I met Bobby at an Esso service station where he was doing a promo for the coins. Previously I'd thought it was probably more like '74 than '70, but perhaps it was as early as '69 or '70 (one day I'll ask my mum) .... so maybe I met Bobby when he was still the world cup winning captain. :D .... I have his autograph somewhere from that day. I wonder if it's worth much...?

am currently reading "INGERLAND" by Mark Perryperson (it's actually Perryman, but my missus knows him from when he was a radical feminist :lol:), and it's quite interesting how he flags up the difference in how hooliganism is reported against the experience of most fans.

Today was the least important game of the season (Aldershot included), because what really matters is trying to keep our four-and-a-bit month run in the league going. And to Malky's credit he treated it as such. Two ineligible players, four of our best eligible players didn't make the squad, and to give you an idea of how little depth we have, we gave a 17-year-old defender a debut because we cannot afford the 18-year-old future Northern Ireland captain he replaced to get tired this season.

Not at all fussed that we lost, but sods law that Danny Graham (brought off the bench because we only have three league-standard strikers) gets injured. Is it too much to hope that he feigned injury to piss off Swansea? :unsure:

Knowing my recent luck I think I know the answer. :(

Though it wont be an actual 50% of their home attendance, there'll be plenty who will be there tonight but not seen oxford at home anytime recent. And I think you over estimate the attraction of a trip to West Ham in these financially difficult times. If you gonna pick and choose your away games, West ham aint got feature that high on most teams list

Last time I checked it was worth between £50-£100. Though that was some years ago.

I had a google yesterday, and it seemed that around £60 was the price ... but then again, there didn't seem to be any available anywhere, so maybe there'd be a premium, I dunno.

I know there's a photo of me and Bobby somewhere (I think at my Mum's), so I'll have to get that dug out to see how old I was, so I can work out when it was.

Point about being a rugby league team is valid. As in not having a huge population and being in close vicinity to other 'bigger' clubs.

Not sure pricing policy is. £30 is the most expensive adult ticket for a Category A match. They go as cheap as £22 for Category C top flight matches. A bargain compared to most other top flight teams. I'd rip your arm off to pay that at UP.

I pay £17 to see conference football so £22 for the premieship sounds a great bargain to me!

'kin'ell ... that must be a conf club with big dreams. Is that extra dosh taking them anywhere, or is it just fattening the chairman's bank account?

I pay less to watch League Two footie.

      So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.

      I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
