There's a brief interview with Damon on the BBC website, talking about how the reunion healed wounds etc etc.

What got my juices flowing though were the comments from ME at the bottom about all the bands that rung up, offering to fill U2's slot (fnar, fnar). Then how he mentioned the guest stars that they have lined up to perform with Gorillaz.

I know its been discussed before but the search function isn't working and I couldn't find any other threads.

So who else do you think offered to fill in and who do you think Gorillaz will bring with them? Do you think there could be any suprises i.e people not on the albums?

Also if Shaun Ryder turns up we should have a sweep on the number of swears he uses, I reckon 15.

why do you think it'll be Jay Z?

i really see no reason for him to come on with Gorillaz... he doesn't feature on any of their songs, and Damon has said that he's got prettymuch all of the featured guests from Plastic Beach minus Lou Reed to agree to play

I think suggesting any guests other than those on the album is definitely playing is jumping the gun a little. They'll probably try for all the guests on the new album and a fair few from the second one. Chances are there'll be a space for a rapper on Clint Eastwood, but who that'll be is anyone's guess. Damon may want a massive name (it is at the very end of the set afterall), or go for Tinie Tempah like he did on the Jonathon Ross show, or get Del The Funky Homosapien over to do the original rap.

    • First thing I saw on socials today were people talking about Limp Bizkit spending most of their set dicking about, does not surprise me.
