Hmmmm... that's going a bit too far, I think.

Chinese Democracy is a great album but it's not better than Use Your Illusion I and II. In 20 years time, if I'm honest, I don't think anybody outside of a few hardcore fans will remember that many songs from Chinese Democracy but most - if not all - of the singles released from the Use Your Illusion albums will be simply because they're modern rock standards. They're classics.

That's the beauty of music though. Each to their own and always good for a debate. You aint the first is actually one of my favourites. I think Garden of Eden and Perfect Crime just seem to make a lot of noise and not actually go anywhere but again that's just my opinion. They're good songs but they just don't stick in my head like some of the others.

Actually, while we’re at it let’s continue the debate on this topic. Songs you would cut from the Illusions tracklist to tighten the album up a bit. Not saying these tracks are shit but I think they’re filler compared to the rest.

I doubt I could leave estranged off, although it is completely OTT, that is probably what makes it amazing.

I haven't listened to the Use Your Illusion albums in there entirety in a long while, really looking forward to falling in love with the albums all over again.

I did, but only because I couldn't fit it on a CD with the others.

By the way, I tried what I asked somebody else to do last night and the nearest to a full single CD I could get was either 81 minutes or 73 minutes, so in addition to Estranged I have taken off Locomotive.

Hmmm, this is a really interesting topic actually, but the problem is, as much as there are a couple of 'filler' songs on both albums, I don't think I could drop enough tracks to warrant it being a single album.

You've got 14 on your ideal album, and there's 30 songs in total, I just don't think I could cut 16 tracks :/
