I am getting annoyed with constantly been asked to sign petitions against the so called "bedroom tax". I must be the only person I know that agrees with the principle of the idea. My issue is with the amount of cash put forward in the Discretionary Housing Fund to support those with compelling cases of hardship.

One of the major problems with the bedroom tax is that there are simply not enough houses for people living in underoccupied properties to move into. I am a Housing Officer and this piece of the Welfare Reform is going to cause a huge amount of hurt to some of the poorest and most vulnerable in society.

This will end up increases the nations benefit bill as we have to pick up households made homeless and have an increase in Housing Benefit for those that move into the private sector.
