This might sound daft but can I have a few more details ( I'm

not greatly technical). But would love to give this. A try. I actually meant to quote someones earlier post on making your own charger with the 12 v battery.

Loving this its brilliant, I use my phone a lot at work now (outside, so have to call and check in with office and stuff, sometimes I look up locations for customers to soometimes :P). and so this restores me to full charge half way thru the door! Which is good when going out for a drink after work! Been working great for a week, I just use my normal usb cable and plug that into the unit,

Agree on most smart phones being pointless with battery life now,(My palm pre only real problem is battery life)

I bought one of the Ted Baker chargers about a week ago after seeing it on here, and after playing with it this weekend I'm well impressed. CHarges both Nokia 5800 and iPhone 3G from car charger and from battery pack thing - charges aprticularly quickly from battery pack. Thanks original poster - this little beauty is going to be worth its weight in gold in, ooh, TEN DAYS!

I've heard about the Orange charging prototypes... they've announced something the past few years... the dancing charger, foot pump and now wellies. It all sounds fantastic, but apart from glossy press releases there seems to be no sign or effort made by orange to actually produce/sell/give away any? A bit of a rub in the face if you ask me sad.gif

I have an iPhone 3GS i'm planning on taking and have bought a fairly pricy Cinch CP885 to charge it with. Apparently it should be capable of charging the phone 5 times as it has an 8800mAh capacity but will see.

Failing that I have also bought a Gomadic AA battery charger from Amazon which according to the description specifically works with the 3GS.

and... if I still run out of juice I guess queuing at Orange Chill and Charge is still an option, or more likely ill drop the phone off at a property lock up and enjoy the festival laugh.gif

Used my Ted Baker at Rockness at the weekend, managed 1 full charge to my LG Renoir, 1 full charge to my daughters SE K800 and 1 full charge to my Phillips Go Gear MP3 player... plus it still had some juice in it.. so thumbs up from me :)

I must have a half dud then. I still only get 1 and a tiny bit charge for my HTC. Leprekorn tells me though that if you have one that rattles then its not as good quality as others. Mine rattles. His doesnt. Should I try and return/ask for a refund or just not worry now?

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
