As the Other field and Pyramid filed cams are very closely aligned I've been playing around with some positioning in CSS and overlayed the 2 together to give a single effective image: http://glasto.rootsquare.com/2010/ shame they an;t nudge the Greenfield one over to the right a bit to make that line up as well :-)

Here's the code if you want to use it yourself:

<div id="container">

  <div id="image1" style="background-image:url(http://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2008/webcam/img/pyramid.jpg);width:352px;height:288px;"></div>

  <div id="image2" style="background-image:url(http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/webcam/webcamglasto/images/other.jpg);width:352px;height:288px;position:relative;top:-292px;left:300px"></div>

</div>

Might as well give myself another plug...

2004: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acOwyoaygLA

2008: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdBuJ4aDwmI

And yes, I am doing them this year (about 5000 frames of Pyramid and "Right" this year, 3500 of the Greenfields which keeps breaking)

2004 is by far my favourite and a right pain that YouTube removed the soundtrack. Just have my fingers crossed that the cams, and my computer, stay up for the festival - something that hasn't happened all that often before.

Dont know whether my eyes are playing tricks on me but looks like a post next to Pyramid with 1970 written on it? Maybe there will be one the other side saying 2010 soon?

A Giant '1970' has appeared above the video screen to the left of the Pyramid Stage - presumably they'll be a 2010 one on the right.

It's my 40th birthday on the Friday so weirdly it all feels as though they're wishing me a happy 40th as well :D

    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
    • All I'm asking for is Rancid
    • MGK would probably end my interest in this festival completely.
    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
