I've gone through the whole thread amazed CT hadn't been mentioned! Come and camp in Pennards & once you've found the camp, you will be sorted with instant company, camerardarie, Bimbles galore. Folk go to all manner of bands so you're never short of a gig buddy. And Pennards is an easy walk from the lovlieness of the evening shennanigans.

See you there?

Quite simply:

look out for the threads relating to .

There is a mega range of EFesters camping there including mums with their teenage boys. Its a haven for solo flyers and lost bunnies who are recently single or dumped by mates who couldnt/didnt want to go as well as festy virgins and a lot of regular Glasto goers.

Its location near the base of Pennards and very close to the Park is perfect for access to so much and the camaraderie is brilliant. There will always be people around for security and more importantly company and a banter. Fingers crossed a fire will get sorted this year and there is always a central area for people to hang around at. You dont have to join in with everything but there is always someone heading off to see a band you are too.

Its a very sensible place to head to if you have found yourself in a situation you were not previously expecting.

There is a Festivals Group to join and the main thread is knocking around here somewhere.

Regardless of where you camp, you must still come to Glastonbury.

Best place for him to be if he's stressed with exams. And a wonderful place for you to be if you've got things going on in your life. You can forget about them for 6 days.

It's a shame your hubby's decided not to come, but you and your son will still have an awesome time! And yeah, come and camp with us :P That way if your son wants to go off and mosh, chances are he'll have someone to go with if you don't fancy it

I would have thought a mid life crisis would be

"I am off to Glastonbury and then shacking up with the travellers ! "

Not deciding to stop at home , maybe he wants to stop and watch the footy or is pissed off with

the line up !

I would like to see his face when you tell him you are still going, without him, and going to be camping with a bunch of nutters you met off the internet :P

We are a lovely bunch of nutters though :P I am camping in Red Triangle with my son, who is younger than yours but we don't cramp each others style. He goes off and does his own thing mostly. Quite a few of the mums are partial to a bit of voddie too so sounds like you'll fit right in.

I've not been to any of the meets before but I think the Camp is around Pennards if I recall. It's easier to meet people if there're a couple of you and once you're part of the group you don't need to worry about doing it on your own or you son going for a wander. You'll have a great time, get yourself there!

I'm still trying to convince my dear old Mother to come and she's said she's going to try for tickets with the old man next year at the grand old age of 58.

Seems a bit off if your other half has been so many times that he's happy to spoil your enjoyment.

Glad to hear you are going for it (I think that's the general consensus right?)

Taking my 16 year old daughter for her first glasto, hoping to camp in or around also (although this may yet change, depending on who else I know is camped where).

Pennards can be a great location for the south side of the festival (5 min walk to green fields for a cuppa!) and I like it's location, but last year it filled up extremely fast and my neighbours were not friendly.

Tell your fella to keep his eye open on the telly for you and he'll spend the whole weekend wishing he was with you :P

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
