Think I'll download it anyway and check it out. (I will be buying it when it is released too).

For the record, I think Boxer is better than Alligator. Just.

Really really looking forward to them at glasto this year. I missed them when they were headlining JP the other year. Who were they up against? I forget

Yeah, I think they would've suited the park more, and would've liked to see them in the dark, but still pleased they're on.

The Verve and Groove Amarda.

The tent was a third full.

I was disgusted.

I stood next to Guy Garvey during their set. I don't really like Elbow though so it wasn't that much of a big deal

I'm listening to it right now. My PC speakers are rubbish but it still sounds great. I saw them headline the John Pell tent in 08, persuaded boyf to leave the Verve after a couple of songs to go and see them instead They were great but the tent was indeed pretty empty... same as Cribs (08? 09?). I think I'm going to try my luck with Groove Armada this year!

Well I've just nipped over to Amazon and it's now on pre order, along with a replacement copy of Boxer, as it got a bit scratched in the car. I'm gonna hold out to listen to it until it has arrived. Old fashioned girl - downloads don't "feel" real??!!

I first saw The National in 2005 and wasn't blown away, but since I've come to appreciate them alot more and am looking forward to seeing them in two week at the Electric Ballroom and Glasto.

The second half of this album beats the first half.

Lemon World -> Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks is amazing.

Slow start on the first 4 i reckon. Such a good album though.

I've loved The National for a long time and I'm really looking forward to it. Infact I'm looking forward to it so much that I'm going to watch it on my own (my mate is a huge fan of Seasick Steve).

I know that I'm in for an absolute treat, they looked fantastic in 08. I really hope they play Mr. November though, that's a top song! But I would be happy with any setlist.

Where else do you see them? I'd really like to see them at their own show - I've only seen them at a festival before and figured it'd work better at their own show...

My Morning Jacket were on at the Park and UNKLE played a live set in one of the dance tents. Nightmare fifve-way clash for me - I solved it by getting ridiculously f**ked the night before and having to leave early and see none of them. The Sunday night this year is even worse

I always think that with bands. I love a good festival show but I just know that they would be so much better in their own venue. It always seems that the atmosphere at a bands own gig is so much better than at festivals.
