Are you taking biodegradable shower gel? Its one of the problems the farm has - the chemicals from washing products. At the Greenpeace showers they hand out free gel and shampoo to avoid this.

My friend brought a cool box in 2008. It was full of shoes.

but yes, agreed about the biodegradeable-ness of the shower gel. i just follow langdale wolf's lead and smell increasingly "mature" over the week.

Well either the search thingy in the forums is dumb or i am (inconclusive) as i cannot find the probable numerous threads already beaten to death on this subject! so please forgive me!

Going to glasto since 99 has lead me to have formulated a small idiot list of things most needed at glasto. This list is specific to me and my needs...so please feel free to correct me! and please do post your most essential!

Ten most essential items at glasto...in order of most important (excluding the obvious "numerous beer crates" & "lots of money")

  1. Duck tape (saves all)

  2. Poncho (have it and wont need it..be without and need it badly)

  3. Tent (well derr!)

  4. Wellies (have them and wont need them..be without and need them badly)

  5. Huggies baby wipes (only huggies..any other brand is an epic fail)

  6. Chair (dont spend more than a fiver! and dont under estimate how much this is needed!)

  7. Piss bottle (large fabric softner style bottle has a wide top for the ladies) hold what seems like a gallon of piss & saves unnecessary trips to the longdrops!

  8. Medical pack (inc: imodium, berocca, parracetamol, buprofen, blistease, optrex, aftersun & barrier, htp-57!?!, plasters) or just make sure someone you know has this!

  9. Dilute juice and collapsible water bottle (eg robinsons A&:P

  10. Some sort of pnuematic trolly or sack barrow (only for hardliners)

This list is ten most essential...that doesnt mean this is all i will take..its just my opinion about what is most important for a successfull week at glasto!

Agree with me...flame me, slay me! please please please

No point in repeating some excellent lists but some key ones for me would be:

Bog Roll (without which you're in the sh*t)

Lenor bottle (for those middle of the night moments)

A head light (to avoid tripping over guy ropes)

Cigarettes (may not be able to get your brand at Glasto)

Gaffa tape (fixes all sorts of problems)

A claw hammer (to put tent pegs in and more importantly get them back out at the end)

Decent walking boots.

And one of these - a fold flat toaster that sits on top of a gas stove and produces excellent toast for breakfast and late night snacks from marmalade to Marmite. Costs about a fiver, weighs next to nothing.
