Such an amazing gig, the band really looked like they wanted to be there and were proud to be playing to such an audience, not seen a band that passionate about their audience since i last saw maiden! the sound quality was spot on too, and the crowd were loving it, managed to get a nice spot just in front of the second barrier, so about 3 songs in, so when people were fed up and left the front, i had a great spot to move around it with my mates! song of the night for me was freedom

apparently - rumour has it that people decided to jump over the fence then when security tried to stop them the other side of the arena people jumped over that fence too - was deffo more than 40,000 in there

Nice one, I was too pissed to think about buying a t-shirt and was gutted I missed out.

What a gig, I am still buzzing. Warmed me up nicely for Ian Brown, Bad Lieutenant and Uncle this Friday; then Glasto. What a month

Great gig! Only complaint is have to say their setlist when I saw them at T was better - pretty much the same minus Township Rebellion and White Riot but including Vietnow, Renegades, Calm Like a Bomb and Wake Up, but nonetheless awesome performance!

Highlights for me were Bullet in the Head, Sleep Now in the Fire and Killing in the Name. The whole crowd just seemed so up for it for those. Still can't believe it was free!! Setlist:

[simon Cowell Cartoon Intro]

Testify

Bombtrack

People of the Sun

Know Your Enemy

Bulls on Parade

Township Rebellion

Bullet in the Head

[Jon & Tracey Morter introduced]

White Riot (Clash cover)

Guerrilla Radio

Sleep Now in the Fire

Freedom

[Montage of Christmas No1 battle in quotes, The Climb by Joe McElderry played in the background]

Killing in the Name

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
    • Yup and they aren't all going to get them, some are going to miss out. Speaking of this, I met someone at RIP who went to RFP and his view was band wise it's value for money but it wasn't a festival itself he'd be rushing to return to. In fairness as well he probably liked more of the headliners there than me this year whereas I was more undercard and he wasn't returning.
    • Maybe Starmer's legacy will be a war with Russia.
    • How were GnR? Seen some videos and pictures and let's just say, the crowd to the sides at the front and in front of the sound tents were let's just say... Sparse compared to LB.
