jazzy 20
Sadly you may be disappointed this year. These are pretty much the last of the East Midlands bands to be selected i think. At one point a few years ago ashdowne were supposed to be the next big thing, and nothng happened.

SweepingTheNation
Twitter: "This just in - a newly crowned, bona fide pop princess will be making her SSW debut this year! WHO COULD IT BE? FIND OUT TOMORROW!!" Ellie Goulding, then? She's playing pretty much every other festival.
SweepingTheNation
"We've also got an incredible actor/musician stepping into the fray for the first time...don't know who it is? Find out first thing tomorrow!" That I'm less sure on, although She & Him would be welcome.
SweepingTheNation
"Aaaaannnnnd we've got one of the BBC's Sound of 2010 highly touted contenders showing up as well! " So that's Daisy Dares You, Delphic, Devlin, The Drums, Everything Everything, Giggs, Gold Panda, Ellie Goulding (again), Hurts, Joy Orbison, Marina and the Diamonds, Owl City (probably not), Rox or Two Door Cinema Club. Joe-
Bet its Robert Pattinson And I hope to GOD its Two Door Cinema Club. Delphic would be awesome to (although my friend would be pissed off)
Ruthd84
By that newly crowned pop princess line, I'd say it's Marina and the Diamonds wouldn't you think? I really can't stand her music. And the BBC Sound of 2010 Longlist artist - on the SSW Twitter it said, 'no words', so I'm going with Gold Panda who remixes samples. Good album. Not sure on the other. little car
God, let's hope not. Overhyped and undertalented. I'd much rather it was Marina.
Joe-
I'm just hoping its not Florence & the Mannoyingsongschine. It could be Kate Nash. Whoever it is- don't think I'll be seeing them. Not fond of pop princess' music
llcoolphil
I've just had a horrible thought that it might be Pixie Lott.

Marshall
I've never heard of Diana Vickers!
llcoolphil
If that's it with names to be announced, it saddens me that this could well be my last Summer Sundae. With the loss of Phrased and Confused, the creeping commercialism of stuff like Gaymers's exclusive supply deal last year, a poor set of headliners last year and from this list a poor set this year, it aint representing value for money anymore - there are several better line ups already announced at other festivals for less money than we are getting here. Diane Vickers? dear god.

butchwade
Phil and Leprekorn - I agree! I LOVE this festival, but there are far better lineups elsewhere.
Leprekorn
Rob I'll ask the same question I did in the thread you created titled "Best Early Bird Sale and next announcements" and hopefully you'll grace me with ann answer this time as to be fair Michala and I bought our tix on the day they went on sale. So as the DiS stage is moving inside on the sunday what wil replace it outside? Edited April 28, 2010 by Leprekorn

Marshall
oh and for the record I'm more than happy with the bands announced. Friday's headliner is quality and whilst I'm expecting to be very disappointed with the sat & sun headliners(some other years I've only liked 1 outdoor headliner too like in 2008) I can see that the days will be filled with great stuff so that is hardly going to matter to me. It's a personal thing really. I will give my views on the headliners once announced though as it's no use me speculating at this point Edited April 28, 2010 by Marshall
