I think the 'discussions' forum has toughened me up. I don't care if people call a band I like crap as much as I used to. Also, the 'harsher' posts on here don't offend me anywhere near as much.

Be proud of your musical tastes. Embrace them (no, I'm not saying 'you must like Embrace' because they're shit). If ampersand can admit to liking Simply Red (the guy has even written the details of their forthcoming concert in his sig) then no-one else has ANYTHING to worry about.

Embrace on the other hand were a quality outfit. So many great, soaring anthems and songs crafted with sublety and guile. I can't believe they're getting heat from a Queen fan.

A few years ago I'd liken this forum to a field at Glasto; lots of varied people floating through exchanging info and stories. Nowadays it's more like the back of a school bus with the same crowd of eejits shouting over everyone else. So you need a thicker skin and a good bullshit detector.

Before any complaining about this year...please cast your minds back to 2008 and the evil silly horrible trolling that occurred in such heavy amounts cos of Jay Z that a the MFG got set up so we could go and hide and talk about things sensibly safe away from the idiots f**king up Glasto Chat back then.

This year is just annoying with the endless 'Is 'Fill in the Band Name' playing?' threads...I think I counted about 10+ on page 1 the other day...PLEASE...people...the line up is not being released yet and if a band is touring in any capacity it does NOT mean they WILL be playing Glastonbury.
