I actually spent an evening in early June last year 'driving' my complete route to Glasto, sad or what. It helped build up the excitement though, although it made me think i'd be able to just drive straight in and not sit in a queue for 6 hours!

In fact, i might do it all again tonight.

Love this ! Used to stay up at a cottage with friends at Park Hill Pilton a few years back and able to see their driveway now - happy memories of that as well as Festival journey fun :P

Zooming out to Google Earth the festival fields, I noticed the lack of a pyramid :P I found some large concrete blocks in its place, so I can only assume that the photos were taken when the stage was dismantled a couple of years back. You can see where the long drops are sited too :P

Microsoft's Photosynth turns a set of 2D photos into a 3D image. You can create your own - just take lots of overlapping photos...here's a a couple

Bing Maps then places those Photosynths onto their Geolocation

A trike ? Not sure about that cos I've defo seen a small(ish) car with what could best be described as a camera on a tripod mounted on the roof driving round locally ! It was a while ago mind you, maybe a year or so, but it was defo a car (had a wheel in each corner and all that :P) and it also had all kinda google info painted all over it as well so no mistaking what it was or what it was doing.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
