I'm really not bitter... Honest i'm not!! :P

Registered for tickets eons ago... saw the holiday list at work last August probably and saw June was a no go... shrugged and figured nevermind.... and then bloody U2, the band i've been following live since 1987 (in a non-stalkerish type of way) announces their only ever Glasto appearance!! *Gutted* It also doesn't help that i've since changed jobs and can pretty much take the whole of June off if I want!! Ack!

If I don't manage to get tickets, then we'll buy a new sofa instead and i'll begrudge the damn thing everytime my arse hits it!!

*Toddles off to phone see again... just incase!* I'm sure they know my voice now!

I can confirm that Ultra Violet is on my playlist. And as you may or may not know, my playlist is based on setlists they've done recently, with the most likely tracks all included (Angel of Harlem and Kite added because I like them, but neither have featured recently).

Therefore, it's likely they'll play it.

If in doubt - check the LW playlist.

I saw Angel of Harlem in July mate. Ultraviolet was played in every single encore of the Claw tour thusfar AFAIK. Pack the mansize tissues Ivan.

"In a little while" is the choon that makes daveyboy whinge like a little boy.

Really??? Oooh that's good news.

I also adore In A Little While. I must learn the chords and strum it.

I also wonder if they'll do more of a greatest hits set than a plug for No Line On The Horizon, hence classics like Angel Of Harlem and - more importantly - Bad being more likely?

I hane not been as excited by a headliner for a very long time. I cant wait to see how they perform naked (metaphorically speaking!) without all the Claw bollocks and the Mr Potato/Pesto (whatever) flannel

I just hope they do play 'raw' because they are really have produced some of the best tunes of the last 25 years and when you take away all of the stage show pap they are still f%$in' brilliant

In my opinion obviuosly!

P.S. Do they really still play 40? I thought they abandoned that a long time ago? I can hear that going on for ages after they have left the stage!

Really really can't wait for U2. Never seen them before, so what a place to pop my U2 cherry. Songs i'd really like to hear are

Pride

Running to standstill

Where the streets have no name

Plus BB King coming out on stage with them to play Love comes to town

Bollocks! I've been busted!! :P Stalker?! Moi?! N'ah! I'll save that accolade for the freaks around me in the line at Croke last year who knew the name their pets and crap! That is just freakishly weird!

luckily I wasn't with you in line at Croke.. lol

Please don't offer to be a mate and phone me if I don't bag tickets... I shall not be best pleased at your ever so thoughtful offer! there's no way that I'd be a mate and offer to phone you... I'd be enjoying myself too much.. :P

We're good chick! Just sitting here 'supposedly' doing my mileage expenses but arsing about on t'internet instead whilst he whom is lanky watches reruns of 'Yes Priminister' with minime

... and getting way back on topic... I think them playing 'Party Girl' is really really likely... along with The Unforgettable Fire which is possibly my favourite and the only song where I preferred the studio version to any live version i'd ever heard until last year when they totally nailed it live

Shoot me now... But I can live without 'Bad', which is irrelevant really as I haven't got tickets!! Christ... I'll even sit through the torture that is 'Wild Honey' if I get tix! :P

Pfft! The quote thingy isn't working!!

Bonosbaby... You are dead lucky you weren't in line with us... I was tearing my hair out by the time the gates opened! On one side we had a certain group of American ladies complete with make-up bags putting their slap on whilst asking me please not to overtake them as they were certainly getting front row and they couldn't run in their heels... I shit you not! Behind me I had someone quoting that 'Bono would not be pleased' every 10 minutes in regard to being cramped in line and how it was such an infringment on our human rights!

I can SO understand why people think U2 fans are a bit stalkerish and freaky!! LOL

    • It's the photo that keeps on giving;
    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.
