In all fairness, they were up against The Verve, Groove Armada, My Morning Jacket and UNKLE. I solved that dilemma by leaving early to help soothe and earth-shattering comedown after a ridiculously messy Saturday night and Sunday morning :P

True, true.

I dunno, I loved it in 2008, but from a personal perspective, they booked a few North American "indie" bands of the caliber that don't usually play Glastonbury, and I was hoping it might be a seachange and we might start getting bands more like the types that play at ATP, but no one came to see them. Disappointed me

I love this band but hoping there next album is happy! Haha I could be in the happiest care free mood of my life, put the national on and a while later I realise I'm now in deep thought over lifes issues. But then it's also quite comforting if u are upset about somethink and then stick it on

New album out on May 10th and there's a nice little gap at the end of June/beginning of July in their tour. Saw them in 2008 and thought they were great, didn't get much of a crowd from what I remember though.

If their new album is anywhere near as good as Boxer it will be in the running for my album of the year. Although the new LCD Soundsystem album is out in the same month as well so there's some stiff competition.

I really hope so - their Royal Albert Hall gig has tickets going for silly money on ebay. They're also doing a date in Camden but that must've sold out in no time at all. Alligator and Boxer are both brilliant albums so hopefully the new one will be too. I just hope they don't have a slot headlining the Park with other equally good bands on!
