Great thing about him though is that he keeps moving, keeps doing different things and keeps us interested.

damn right. He's a true musical artist. His side projects are always top notch too.

There's just not enough melody in the album for him to get his voice wrapped around.

Worth getting there to see one of the support acts too - The Creature with the Atom Brain. Very much a stoner rock vibe in the vein of Kyuss and early QOTSA.
