jordanuk90
Oh dear God no.... If he plays, I would take it upon myself to get him to do one of his famous gig walk outs... I think launching some burgers at him should do the trick...
indieleeds
Including self-confirmations, strong rumours/who's playing other festivals/shows around that time, new material out, not played Reading in a while/did other UK fests last year and who I think will be appearing etc.....its probably a good chance that some/most of the following will be there - Green Day MCR Blink-182 Pendulum The Maccabees The Big Pink The Drums Bombay Bicycle Club The Futureheads Biffy Clyro Dizzee Rascal Hot Chip LCD Soundsystem MGMT Klaxons Ash Animal Collective The Cribs Delphic The Flaming Lips Foals Franz Ferdinand Hadouken! The Horrors Interpol NoFX Paramore 30 Seconds To Mars Pavement Pigeon Detectives Simian Mobile Disco Sub Focus The Subways (well they took last year off from Reading so they are prob due back ) Them Crooked Vultures (if not a Download exclusive) We Are Scientists Editors Weezer The Wombats The XX

wheres the mudfight
I reckon there's at least a decent chance of all the following playing: Green Day (ish) Blink 182 MCR Paramore Gaslight Anthem Alkaline Trio Dropkick Murphys Flogging Molly King Blues Tom Gabel Biffy Clyro Frightened Rabbit hot hot heat vampire weekend MGMT the Specials NOFX Rancid Pendulum Lawrence Arms the Cure the Ramones Actually, the last few are not very likely but I thought I'd add them as the rest just about makes my decade so I might as well go mad not really sure about Green Day Headlining either but I'd love it if they did! rexclark
I don't know if anyones interested but Adam Green self confirmed a week or so ago. He'll be on the NME stage or maybe headline the FR tent. He puts on a good live show so he'll get a good slot on the bill.
jammy2211
Looks like my Reading days are over, these rumours are tending towards a shipwreck 0_o. Might be swayed to go if some of my friends are there, but it seems like we're all going our seperate ways festival-wise . Seriously though, Reading isn't pulling the sort of bands that brought me there in the first place. Will give it the benefit of the doubt until announcement day. revert
Lostprophets need to be added to that list, Punktastic are sure they are playing. And they're nearly as accurate as efests when it comes to these things.

jammy2211
This is what i was thinking but at the same time if they book some "interesting" bands I'd be tempted, like I expect Gorillaz to play england at some point and they haven't been announced anywhere yet - that sort of band, that you don't see everywhere else might tempt me plus, if all my friends are going I probably will, some of the best times are i nthe campsite
Chavmeisterdeluxe
Dizzee Rascal is playing, so I've heard from various 'in the know' people.

zeppelin
I think I'm pretty much converted to Download now, this will be my first year there but it always tends to book more bands to my tastes. I live 20 mins from Donnington at Uni and now people who go every year. Problem is Reading still books some alternative type bands Download seems at the moment not to ever go for - random examples from recent years but people like 65Daysofstatic, Silversun Pickups, Battles, Arcade Fire, Manchester Orchestra, Brand New, Thursday etc. Chances are Reading will still put a few bands like that up this year >_>. Download goes more in that direction every year though, with Reading going towards V and V heading towards Xfactor so, hopefully soon I'll just have my perfect festival on my doorstep .
