Is he not playing Inglston (just outside Edinburgh) in March, so wouldnt think that he would do 2 Scottish dates, but then Orbital went to Rockness 09 and did the EH1 thing at Ingleston in Aug 09. So maybe could be a possibility maybe.

Dont think id really wanna go to rockness if this happend tho!

Not wanting to stir the pot, but i have to say that if Rockness did get Tiesto, it would be a massive coup. He is regarded as one of the biggets DJ's in the world, and if Rockness can attract that calibre, then fair play from me.

i think a lot of people on this forum are quick to follow the crowd. As many of you have said, if he is on, then there will be other different acts to go see. In fact if he does, then all the neds will be at the main stage and we will all be free from the agro in the tents!

We all have varied tastes, so if teh biggest name in poppy trance does play, then thumbs up from me. Each to there own, and thank god too.

Tiesto playing would go against what I think Rockness is as a festival and bring an unwanted ned pressence to the campsite that TITP is bad for now.

Seriously, i cannot believe some people reckon Rock Ness would even consider booking Tiesto.......it just goes against everything the festival is about. Unique venue, varied mix of DECENT music, staying away from the commercial neddy stuff.

Jim seems to know his stuff when putting these line-ups together and i'm pretty sure he'll be aware of the general crowd Tiesto attracts.

Anyone who thinks Tiesto would be a good booking knows f*** all about good dance music.

Sadly i suspect that many festivals would try and book him as he is a crowd puller and a ticket seller. As Jim said himself regarding selling lanyards, they have to do everything with a view to their commercial interests. Selling a specific type of beer, commercial partners, sponsorship etc. so booking a big draw DJ, even if he is viewed by this forum as nothing more than a Ned magnet, will be commercially viable.

I think festivals have been getting along just fine in the last 10 years without booking him since Creamfields has been the only one he's ever been too. Plus Jim King knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to making Rockness financially sound and booking Tiesto, despite his worldwide status, would be a complete disaster for the festival. I for one definetely wouldn't go and I've not missed one yet. Tiesto is overrated to fu*k IMO and I would rather see Vitalic or DJ Shadow to name a few go above him as a headliner. They can DJ the tits off of Tiesto. So piss yourself all you want, not stopping you.
