Visit the T forum and there are a lot of people who are saying that not all people who go to the slam tent are neds. But having a go at tiesto and neds.

So a lot of my mates are tiesto fans and in their defence I feel the need to say not all tiesto fans are neds. And a lot of my neices and nephews and their pals are neds but they don't like tiesto.

I think festivals have been getting along just fine in the last 10 years without booking him since Creamfields has been the only one he's ever been too. Plus Jim King knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to making Rockness financially sound and booking Tiesto, despite his worldwide status, would be a complete disaster for the festival. I for one definetely wouldn't go and I've not missed one yet. Tiesto is overrated to fu*k IMO and I would rather see Vitalic or DJ Shadow to name a few go above him as a headliner. They can DJ the tits off of Tiesto. So piss yourself all you want, not stopping you.

I will piss myself if he does get announced, as half this forum wont be going by the sounds of it.

Sadly i suspect that many festivals would try and book him as he is a crowd puller and a ticket seller. As Jim said himself regarding selling lanyards, they have to do everything with a view to their commercial interests. Selling a specific type of beer, commercial partners, sponsorship etc. so booking a big draw DJ, even if he is viewed by this forum as nothing more than a Ned magnet, will be commercially viable.

Dont believe for one minute Jim would rick running Rockness at a loss... money money money.

i also refuse to accept that its just non-educated-delincuents that like his sets. Im not over fussed, but then im not overly fussed about trance music in general.

This forum probably accounts for about 1% of the general demographic at Rockness, so thats why there's a wide range of acts. Hopefully the reccession will hit the neds so they cant afford a trip up the A9 and wont make it anyways!

I got it in the neck for my opinion, which goes against the view of most people on here, but things have got personnal for which i hold my hands up. But people are happy to give out, then ar up in arms when they get it back.

i do find this forum very cleeky though.
