Ok it has officially started in my house.... the count down has begun

A number of things have brought this to bear....

  1. The Just one tip thread,

  2. Bearded Theory now all planned

  3. My Fire-fox count down clock armed and primed....

  4. Talk of other festivals now coming to fruition

  5. That long look of despair on my wife's face as if to quietly say"Oh god he is off again for days on end"

  6. The customary saving of the boy's rent money for all things festival (yes, I do charge my son rent and he does therefore in a round about way, he pay's for my festivals) Genius....

  7. The bookmarks being dusted off on the camp-site equipment web pages

  8. The down loading and researching of bands that might appear

  9. The thoughts of tents, tent cleaning and repairing...

So there we have it, I am now in festival mode, the winter was long and hard, the snow it fell and covered the land, but at the end of the day, Glastonbury stood out like a large sideways laughing cow cheese triangle in the snowy gloom guiding us to the early summer......

Long live Glastonbury... your children are coming home soon!

The faint recognition that the Glastonbury Festival is to take place in June and I have a ticket is slowly stirring in my mind ...

I see the new campfire thread has started by strudders and the shortest day of the winter is now well behind us so Glasto Festival fever will soon be slowly developing in me is pretty much a certainty. :P

I expect I shall start posting on here again in a more regular fashion than I have over the last few months and expect to see other old regulars appearing here soon....

I remember the happy days leading up to June last year on this forum - was great fun and we had lots of chats in the chatroom too.

Yep I have to agree - It's started :P

PS will start thinking about buying actual Festival stuff nearer to the June though as it is too early for me at the moment....

The booze will only disappear if bought any earlier. Just a matter of organising a load of people who

a) Have not bought a ticket yet (thankfully only 1)

:P Never been to a proper festival so have to be encouraged to buy full water proofs

c) general morons who have to be spoon fed that the deposit has to be paid and yes checking the tent from last year is ok.

d) Leaving after dropping our son off is good but that does not man stopping at every service station on the way there.
