Remember which row the car is in, when you first arrive

When you go back, theres possibly going to be hundreds (thousands) of cars behind you. Learnt this the hard way in 2005 (first glasto) spent an hour and was totally fed up, tired and sunburnt by the time found where had parked

Beat me to it ! I was just typing this very tip as yours appeared, so after a hasy edit I'll readily second what you've just said - 'Forget Bog Roll'. Instead, buy a large packet of handy tissues - the ones that have about 12 small packets of tissues in them. Multiple advantages over bog roll:

- No one knows you're off for a dump as they fit discretely in your pocket

- Can be carried 24 hours so can go whenever and wherever

- Each packet comes in its own resealable wrapper so if it rains they don't get soggy

- You can buy nice moisture infused ones - a much appreciated little luxury (Avoid the Olbas Oil ones though - there's a post on here somewhere about the consequences :P ).

- Thicker than bog roll for when Glastoenteritis kicks in

And if when awkwardly fumbling for them you drop em down the long drops, you have another pack on you in another pocket! :P cant do that with a full bog roll!

I heard a good couple.

Wristband on your none wiping arse hand.

Get one of those butchers hooks, so when you go t'loo, you can hang you bag on the door rather than putting it in all the wee on the floor!

S-Hooks. Ikea bathroom/kitchen dept sells them. Other kitchen/bathroom suppliers probably do too.

Butcher's hooks are pointy. You don't want a pointy metal thing tearing a hole in your pocket / skin.

Top Tips:

Buy a head torch

Take more socks that you think you'll need

Take less other clothes than you think you'll need (esp if you're lugging it on a train/bus)

Posh wetwipes are not worth the money

But most importantly...

Take a Swiss Army Knife. The scissors attachment is handy for cutting through tape... :P

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
