last summer I was in a bar talking to a bloke, a pretty decent bloke, about the fact that I was going to Glastonbury next week and that I go to rather a few festivals and that Glastonbury is by far the best one. he then proceeded to say...

"I have only been to Glastonbury once and that was when I was around 14 (he is 24ish now) when guns and roses where headlining."

now, I used to have a guy at school who used to say that he had a live shark in his loft, was related to Tutankhamen and that he had killed 2 people with samurai swards. I see this as being in the same category of bullcrap.

anyone experienced anything similar?

A conversation overheard by me by some knowledgeable man up at the stone circle:

"These stones haven't always been here you know, they brought them from all areas of the UK and arranged them in this manner. They call it Stone Henge. It's very spiritual."

    • would be delighted to have that back given ive got sweet fa personally since the inception of new system
    • Used had one of the biggest crowds in the Wave last year. Not really my thing but enjoyed it and the crowd were bang up for it. Might be too much of a step up on the Main though.
    • Thing is it depends on what the issues are - building a bigger stage would likely bring the Pyramid up to the relatively standard 20x20 space for "on stage" production which does make it easier for touring setups. But if for example she wants big / complex extensions going out in the field (such as she had in Rio) that would remain just as awkward to achieve without massively disrupting the rest of the day or potentially even weekend.
    • A month or so before any ballot a group of up to six is registered and a lead booker named.  That gives see tickets time to check if any individual’s registration, post code  and details appears more than once on different groups and removed then on ticket allocation day tickets the groups are just randomly balloted.  It’s felt like a ballot in the last few years, just sitting staring at the dreaded two lines, glancing nervously at the clock as time passes. Maybe the f5 refresh gave you the sense that you were actually doing something 😊
    • or can we just have Metallica back please 😄
