No. Go. Definitely. I actually find going on your own to be quite a free experience. You can do what you want, when you want, as quickly or as slowly as you want.

Who cares if it's sad? You won't be when you get there. You'll have the time of your life. The thing about solo Glasto, is that you end up talking to strangers you wouldn't normally, and the secret thing about that is.... They're usually sound.

If you have a ticket, it's a no-brainer.

Go definitely. There will be a couple of efest camps featuring on here very soon where many people going on there own camp together (its not like going on your iown when you've met a few people). Going without mates and e fest camping is the single greatest way to do a fest ever. Fact.

Justy go. I went myself last year and bar Friday morning I was never on my own. I met mates Thursday and Saturday, and met someone at Lilly Allen on the Friday, spent all weekend together. It's a friendly place and doubt you'll be alone for long.

Go, it'll be fine. You'll have the time of your life. And as another poster has already said, you get to go where you want, see who you want and be who you want. Yay!

I'm happy to meet you for a beer to get you on that rocky road of talking to 'strangers' ;o)

Peace x

First, im sorry ur mate cant make it but dont let that stop you honey! Glasto is an unforgettable experience! We've travelled from Scotland 3 times, 2010 being our 4th, and i would strongly advise you to go go go! You'll find people friendly, chatty and you also have the freedom to do what YOU want when YOU want to. One thing's for sure, you will NEVER get bored! Loads to see, do, lovely ( yes and even a bit strange, in a good way, people) to observe, talk to etc etc. Oh, and if you DO go, DO DO DO visit Trash City, erm it may be called somethin else now, but anyway its the most weird, wonderful experience, especially at night! During the day's pretty cool too! take your camera and plenty of batteries cos you'll need em!

have fun honey!

xx :P

At T in the park I had a bit 2 much 2 drink and left a busy tent 2 go get beer. I sadly lost my friends and had no battery in my phone so was maself for about 3 hours. For the first 30 minutes I felt a bit sad but after that I just got talking away 2 folk and met some lovely folk! PLus i got 2 go see the bands that I wanted to see.

What a silly question.

I've won the lottery - should I spend some of the money?

I've got a Glasto ticket - should I go?

You won't be alone. There will be 140,000 other people there who will be your mates.

It doesn't matter where you camp. There's no need to go to one of the meet up group areas. I've always found neighbours to be really helpful and friendly.

One year when I went on my own a group helped me put up my tent, made me supper and we became great friends.

In the Year of The Great Floods our group took in people who'd lost all their belongings, had a whip round and gave them some cash, space in a tent and food.

That's the spirit of Glasto.

Just go and enjoy.

I actually want to go to a festival alone! Never tried it but I never get the chance to either! Think I might do Glade alone this year though, none of my mates have heard of it and it's fecking miles from where I stay so that will put plenty off :P HERE I COME!

We're twins, and that's why we like doing festivals just the two of us. It's the same as one of you lot going on your own, because we like the same bands, enjoy the same stuff etc etc.

We'd love to introduce one of our mates to Glasto, but non of them are interested. There is one, but we're worried that if he came along we wouldn't be able to do just what we want, and we'd have to accomodate what someone else wants to do.

Having said that, we met someone on the coach last year who was on his own and it was his first festival and we camped next to each other. He did his own thing during the day except Sunday where we hung round together, and at night we sat outside our tents overlooking the Pyramid Stage talking about our day. It was great, and we're meeting up with him again next year!
